We currently carry 4 types of Sod/Turf:
Centipede
Centipede is a warm season lawn grass that is thick sod forming, uniform growing, and medium to light green colored. It requires less mowing. Being a low growing grass, it has a much longer period of days between mowing cycles. It is rather drought tolerant. Although the roots are not as deep as Bahia or Bermuda, its close to the ground growth allows for better conservation of water and helps fight drought. When healthy, this full sun and slightly shade tolerant grass is aggressive enough to choke out weeds and other grasses.
Bermuda
Blades are a grey-green color and are short, usually 4-15 cm long. Found mostly in the southern half of the country and in warm climates. It is fast growing and tough, making it popular and useful for sporting fields, as when damaged it will recover quickly.
St. Augustine
St. Augustine is a dark green grass with broad, flat blades. It is one of the most shade tolerant warm season grasses, thriving beneath partialshade of large trees, shrubs, and structures. It rivals the reputation of Bermuda grass, although St. Augustine grasses are somewhat less drought tolerant.
Zoysia
Can tolerate wide variations in tempature, sunlight, and water, these grasses are among the most widely used for lawns in temperate climates. They are used on golf courses to create fairways and teeing areas. They resist disease and hold up well under traffic. It is popular because of its fine texture and soft feel, and low growth habit. In contrast to St. Augustine, it generally requires less fertilization and is less prone to insect and fungus damage, depending on the enviromental conditions.
